    One day, she’s had enough of all the protectiveness, the help, her words getting talked over, her skills being brushed aside by people who thought she was just some little girl who needed her crusts cut off for her. So she decides to make some changes in her life. Some badass changes, that she thinks will allow her to flourish into the person she’s always wanted to be seen as. So she shaves her head. Molly is heart broken - all that lovely hair, all - gone - and Arthur just stares, because - Ginny? Are you alright? - Percy turns red, Ron starts to splutter and even the twins are slightly shocked. The only person who understood was Harry - I’ve always wanted to do that, but people would see the scar. Then she moves out, into a small flat above a pub in London. Where it’s busy, where people aren’t shocked by the bald head, where she can use magic and people don’t really notice, because you don’t stare at people in London unless you want a fight. Ginny works in the pub below, on the bar, meeting all the people she’s ever dreamed of meeting, breaking up the occasional brawl, and just taking her life into her own hands. She got to go on a plane, to France for a summer. She started learning Japanese. She met girls and explored what girls could do. She met boys and decided that boys were alright too. She started to work out, and she befriended every muscle man and women in the weights section. She took up art. Then dropped it because she didn’t have the patience for it. She went to muggle concerts. She went out to dinner with muggle friends. She met up with dean, seamus, hermione, Harry, Ron, Neville, Luna and Pansy. Pansy wasn’t so scary now, and when she did get a bit rude, Ginny knew how to shut her up. So in the end ginny does flourish, and she became closer with her mother - you wear leather jackets now? - and her dad no longer stared in horror but instead affection, and Ginny knew that she had become the person she had hoped to become.
